Jesus VS. Zombies

I was on social media on Easter when a question came up. If Jesus rouse from the dead, wouldn't that make him a Zombie? I have to admit I was taken back by this question. I had never heard this question before. I wanted to answer this person's question, but if you know me I try not to make waves.


When I think about zombies, I think about brain-eating beings, like the ones in my favorite Zombie movie " Zombieland."  


Zombies... Zombies... Zombies...  When you think about Zombies, is this how you see them? They walk slowly with their arm stuck out in front of them. Their bodies decaying, and they make moaning sounds. Let's just get real. If Zombies are real they would be mindless. They are not alive, but they are undead. It depends on what movie or show you are watching; even books can portray them differently. For some reason, I believe I saw a show or movie where the Zombies run, and there are some that fall in love.

 

Jesus was resurrected and rose from his tomb. Along with Jesus, the holy people who had died rose from their graves. They were not zombies either (see below-- Matthew 27:50-54).


Jesus was able to talk to his disciples and other people, which he could not do if he were a zombie.  He loved everyone and was intelligent.  Nothing like them.

My point is that Jesus, my Lord, and Savior, was not a zombie. He will be returning, and when he does, he will not be a zombie.

53 They came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared to many people.

54 When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, “Surely he was the Son of God!”

What I Need to Hear (Review of "Write Out Loud") Written by:  Jill Sheets I have been dealing with issues with my writing for some time now, so I was excited to find the book, “Write Out Loud,” by Naomi D. Nakashima, on WOW.  I looked forward to reading the book and reviewing it. She talks about procrastination, imposter syndrome, self-doubt, confidence, starting to write the first draft of your story, and overcoming and identifying fears (just to name a few). The book covered everything that I needed to hear, read, or wondered about.  I am sure you have read something from another writer and felt they were talking to you.  That is what I felt.  This is an inspirational book that gives terrific advice and is a fast read.  I recommend this book to anyone who is a writer or wants to become one.
